The 299th also provided 6 bridge erection boats to support river patrols on the Tigris River at Mosul. The company also provide 4 Bridge Erection Boats to assist in the assembly of the Improved Assault Float Ribbon Bridge (IAFRB) across Tigris River at Tikrit. The bridge was the longest IAFRB ever assembled and became known as the "Birthday Bridge" since it was built on Saddam Hussein's birthday.

The unit supported the 130th Engineer Brigade with a number of other missions including security details through the month of May.
